MEA Imports is a wholesaler of Middle Eastern and African food products and housewares. They’re a supplier to many local Mediterranean grocery stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, delivering imported goods out of their physical warehouse each day.
Challenges
MEA Imports had already established a dedicated customer base through word-of-mouth referrals, but they wanted to broaden their reach and attract customers from outside of the DFW area. They contacted us to do the following:
- Set up a website so retailers from anywhere can sign up for a wholesaler account and order online
- Create a mobile app where current customers can view their inventory and place orders
- Develop a POS system for the tablets used by the warehouse workers that allows them to take orders from customers and update the website’s inventory stock
Solutions
Our team developed MEA Import’s website on the WordPress platform. We utilized Elementor, a user-friendly page builder, to tailor a pre-made theme to match the client’s specific preferences, including colors, layout, and imagery. We chose Elementor because it offers a high degree of customizations but is still easy to use so the client can make future adjustments to the front-end. Additionally, we integrated the POS system with the website to ensure that inventory levels automatically update when orders are placed online, through the mobile app, or via a worker’s tablet.
To attract new customers, they subscribed to one of our marketing plans. Each month, we create content for their social media pages such as graphics, SEO-optimized blogs, and short video clips. We also send out promotional texts and Emails to their customers about special deals and new products.
